I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something." - Edward Everett Hale
This is the story of a little girl who lives in Ecuador, named Miriam Esthela. I am sponsoring her through Children International, to try to provide a better life for her. It's a fantastic organisation...please check it out and consider sponsoring a child yourself. I have just sponsored Miriam and this journal is to serve as a documentary/diary of everything to do with Miriam. Examples of things I'll post are:
All information I receive about Miriam [barring her last name and other identifying information].
Letters from Miriam.
Letters I write to Miriam.
Her updated photo each year.
Anything else relevant to this sponsorship.
Information about Ecuador.
I love Miriam already and encourage you to read about her and watch her grow up through this journal. I don't plan to stop sponsoring her. Follow this journal, or take a glance, especially if you want more of an idea of what it's like to be a sponsor and are considering sponsorship yourself. I hope this journal inspires and encourages others.
Can't afford to sponsor a child yourself? Want to make a donation whenever you feel like it for however much you feel like? You can make a donation to Miriam. I sponsor her for a flat fee each month, but can send her money for clothes, education and necessities, over and beyond the flat fee, any time I would like! Want to help Miriam out? Any money helps...click the button below!
Updates on this journal may not be very frequent, as I'm discouraged against writing to her more than once a month, but I will always update this journal when I have something new to say about her or something to do with the sponsorship.
